About me...
I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from the University of California at Davis and my veterinary degree from Colorado State University. I completed a residency in internal medicine in 2000 and earned my certification from the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in 2001. My training as an internist has provided me with a strong scientific background and the ability to write professionally about topics in both the human and veterinary fields.
Throughout my years as a clinician and consultant, I worked on numerous medical writing projects and found that I could merge my love of words and grammar with my scientific knowledge. A medical writer was born!
I have been working as an independent medical writer and editor for 12 years providing excellent work for my clients and outstanding customer service. One of my main areas of interest is in the field of continuing medical education and in 2013 I became a certified CME professional (CCMEP), a designation awarded by the National Commission for Certification of CME professionals (NC-CME). I am also a member in good standing of the American Medical Writers Association.
